PDO Threads
rena sacca

Every day, people are searching for new, improved ways to restore youth to their face without having to undergo an extremely invasive procedure with weeks of downtime. Luckily, PDO Threads have been introduced as a way to give patients restored volume and a reshaped face in a quick, thirty-minute procedure. Dr Rena Sacca proudly offers PDO Threads at her medical clinic.

There are different types of threads, which can be classified by their material and design. PDO threads are smooth monofilaments composed of polydioxanone, a synthetic biodegradable polymer. PDO Threads are classified by the number and design to Mono Threads,Tornado and COG.

This innovative minimally-invasive procedure uses a subdermal threading technique to lift and tighten the face. During a PDO Mono - Thread appointment, Dr. Sacca inserts an absorbable suture beneath the skin and gently adjusts the skin to improve contours and add definition. The suture helps restore structure and prompt new collagen production. Once production is triggered, the additional collagen reserves can give lasting positive effects. Over time the thread will be naturally absorbed by the body. PDO Mono is excellent for tightening a sagging jawline and neck and improving the laxity in the cheeks.
